Every Friday, the music streaming service Spotify refreshes the New Music Friday playlist, which contains a large proportion of the new singles released by national and international artists.
Taylor Swift – willow
Taylor Swift doesn’t waste any time. After the American singer released her new album folklore unannounced in the summer, she has finished another record barely six months later. For evermore she worked again with Jack Antonoff (Bleachers) and Aaron Dessner (The National). The singer describes the album on social media as the sister record to folklore and sees it as her full-fledged ninth studio album. evermore has fifteen songs on streaming services and has two more bonus tracks on physical copies.
Britney Spears & Backstreet Boys – Matches
Britney Spears hasn’t released any new music since her 2016 album Glory. The American pop star has been in the news more often in the past year because of her father’s curatorship that she wants to end. Spears has already announced that she no longer wants to perform as long as her father is in control. However, her team has taken some older material off the shelf to release a deluxe version of Glory, including the previously unreleased song Matches, which the singer recorded with boy band Backstreet Boys.
